  • Category and voice preferences — used to personalize your digest content and writing style.
  • Usage analytics — anonymous, aggregated data about how the product is used (via PostHog). No personal data is sold or shared with advertisers.
  • Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to deliver and improve the Owl Post service:

  • Generate and deliver your personalized daily digest
  • Authenticate you via magic links (no passwords stored)
  • Process subscription payments through Stripe
  • Monitor service health and fix errors (via Sentry)
  • Understand usage patterns to improve the product (via PostHog)

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate Owl Post:

  • Resend — email delivery
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • PostHog — product analytics (self-hostable, privacy-focused)
  • Sentry — error monitoring
  • Vercel — hosting

Each provider processes data under their own privacy policy. We do not sell data to any third party.

Cookies

Owl Post uses a session cookie for authentication and a localStorage key for your theme preference. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Data retention

Your digest archive is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (preferences, digests, payment records) is permanently removed within 30 days.

Your rights

  • Access — request a copy of your data
  • Correction — update your preferences at any time from your account
  • Deletion — delete your account and all associated data
  • Unsubscribe — one-click unsubscribe in every email
