Acceptance

By creating an account or using Owl Post, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Owl Post is an AI-curated news digest delivered to your inbox. We use artificial intelligence to read, filter, and summarize news from public sources. Summaries are generated by AI and may not perfectly represent the original reporting. Always follow source links for the full story.

Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • Authentication uses magic links — there are no passwords to manage.
  • You are responsible for access to the email account you register with.
  • One account per person. Automated signups are not permitted.

Free and Pro plans

The free plan includes up to 5 categories and a daily digest. The Pro plan adds unlimited categories, custom topics, email-as-interface commands, SMS digest delivery, and full archive access.

  • Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe.
  • You can cancel anytime from your account or the Stripe billing portal.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — no partial refunds.
  • We may change pricing with 30 days notice to active subscribers.

SMS digest delivery

Owl Post offers an optional SMS delivery channel for your daily news digest. SMS delivery is in addition to email. You must have an Owl Post email account first.

How you opt in

  1. Sign in to your Owl Post account at owlpost.news.
  2. Go to Account → Settings → SMS Digest and enter your US mobile phone number.
  3. Check the box that reads: “I agree to receive my daily Owl Post news digest by SMS.”
  4. Click Send verification code. We send a 6-digit one-time code by SMS through Twilio Verify.
  5. Enter the code on the same page. On success, your opt-in is recorded with a timestamp and we begin sending the daily digest by SMS.

Frequency

Approximately 1 SMS per day per opted-in subscriber: your personalized daily news digest. We do not send promotional or marketing messages by SMS.

Keyword handling

  • Reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT, or END from your verified number to immediately opt out. You will receive a single confirmation reply, then no further messages.
  • Reply START, YES, or UNSTOP to re-enable SMS delivery on a number that has previously opted out.
  • Reply HELP or INFO for support contact information (support@owlpost.news).

Carrier and rate disclosure

Message and data rates may apply. Owl Post does not charge for SMS, but your carrier's standard rates apply for messages received. Owl Post is not liable for charges from your mobile carrier.

Eligibility

  • US phone numbers only at this time.
  • You must be 18 or older to opt in.
  • You must own or have authorization to use the phone number you provide. Providing someone else's number without their consent is a violation of these terms and applicable law (TCPA).
  • Free-tier accounts receive a one-time 14-day SMS trial, starting when you first add a US mobile number and request a verification code in Account Settings (when you tap Send verification code).
  • After the trial ends, SMS delivery requires an active Pro subscription.

Privacy

Your phone number is stored encrypted and used only for sending the digest you opted into and the OTP verification code. We never share or sell phone numbers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Redistribute digest content commercially without permission
  • Abuse the inbound email interface (rate limits are enforced)
  • Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
  • Use automated tools to scrape digest content at scale

Intellectual property

AI-generated summaries are derivative works created by our service. Original reporting belongs to the cited sources. The Owl Post brand, design, and proprietary technology belong to Owl Post.

Disclaimers

  • Digests are AI-generated summaries, not professional advice. Do not rely on them for financial, legal, medical, or other professional decisions.
  • We do not guarantee delivery times, uninterrupted service, or the accuracy of AI-generated content.
  • Source availability, feed quality, and AI model behavior may affect digest content. When sources return empty data, sections are omitted rather than fabricated.

Limitation of liability

Owl Post is provided “as is” without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Owl Post is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted per our privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
